Austrian Testing Board (ATB)

The Austrian Testing Board is an independent and neutral body that:

• ensures adequate training offers for the Certified Tester program
• is responsible for the accreditation of training providers
• ensures that training providers observe the strict  ISTQB_® standards (Quality assurance!)
• provides a company-independent and free of charge knowledge-sharing network for the Austrian testing community
• participates actively in national & international work groups for the definition of international testing standards (ISTQB®).

The ATB is the only authorized ISTQB_® exam institution in Austria and has employed the iSQI, a certified organization for human resources certification for this purpose.

Renowned test experts from industry, consulting companies, science, and other organizations are defining training and exam topics for the SW tester profession and update them continuously. The participation in the ATB is honorary.

The ISTQB^® is currently represented in 38 countries all over the globe which guarantees world-wide uniformity and comparability of the training contents.

Within the German-speaking region, the ATB cooperates closely with the German Testing Board and the Swiss Testing Board.

After successfully passing an exam of the multi-staged curriculum, each participant receives the ISTQB-Certified-Tester_® certificate of the respective level. Certificates are valid world-wide and respected by all ISTQB® member boards.

Warning:

Beware of providers that offer non-accredited trainings that are only loosely based on the ISTQB® syllabus!
Go for quality and only trust training providers from the official accreditation list (ISTQB _® accredited training providers). Only they can guarantee complete coverage of all topics and contents that are relevant for the exams.
